Tommaso was born and raised in Rome, Italy. After receiving his Master’s in Philosophy from Rome University, he moved to New York in 2001; here he earned a Master’s in Film from Columbia University. His passions are for the arts, travel, fine dining, and especially people.
Tommaso’s journey with Ecumen started in 2016 when he created Abiitan Mill City’s Programming and Events Department. After four years at Abiitan, Tommaso came to Seasons at Maplewood in 2020 as Assistant Executive Director. He was immediately captured by the energy, the quality of care, and the homelike feel of this beautiful community. In May 2021, he became Executive Director. Tommaso is committed to putting his heart, thoughts, and actions to work for the wellbeing of residents and team members alike.
Mary joined the Ecumen Seasons at Maplewood team in 2015. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Clinical Psychology from San Diego State University, and worked for many years in the hospitality industry. Mary began pursuing her passion for working with seniors and their families in 2010 when she became a leasing and marketing director for senior housing. When she’s not working, Mary treasures time spent with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoys container gardening, collecting and reading cookbooks, watching the History Channel, and her dog Sam.
Food and Beverage Director
Peggy’s food and beverage service experience spans more than 30 years and a variety of large-scale, detail-oriented venues, including hotels, restaurants, and private country clubs. Peggy joined Ecumen in 2016 as the Food and Beverage Director of our Autumn Leaves Restaurant. She takes great pleasure in applying her skills to enhance the dining experiences of our residents, their families and guests. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, gardening and taking long walks with her dog.
Janet has been with Ecumen since 1990, becoming the Activities Director here at Seasons at Maplewood in 2010. A graduate of Bethel College with a major in Social Work and minor in Physical Education, she’s a natural catalyst for helping our community to retain its energetic and highly social atmosphere. Janet loves getting to know each resident, listening to their aspirations, and facilitating resident-driven programming. Janet enjoys outdoor recreation, quilting, and spending time with her family.
